poor audio quality on calls (phone link)

hi, trying to trouble shoot a problem im having with phone link on windows 11 connecting to my iphone. connection is fine ( lets me see, send and recive messages) lets me make and recieve calls. all audio setting on my headphones and microphone are fine on pc. but when i make a call on the pc through phone link i cant make out a single word being dsaid and it sounds like a chipmunk talking ( very high pitched) any advice would be grateful. thank you
