The title says it all . I have a 10+ year old copy of windows 7 that I bought new on newegg .I still have the product key , its never been transferred to different hardware ( other than a Motherboard replacement (same chipset as old MB ) back in 2018 . At that time win7 wanted activation with new MB which worked fine . Today I reassembled exact same hardware with same exact win7 product key .It says "security error " . THIS IS FLAT OUT **** !I can prove original owner and know FOR A FACT the product key has never been activated on anything other than AMD Fx cpu with 990 chipset MB , never ! I'
