PIN not available on laptop, recovery e-mail no longer exists = locked out of computer

My HP laptop did some update overnight a few weeks ago and now my PIN is not available due to a "change in security settings" and I cannot log into my Microsoft account and therefore cannot use my computer. The e-mail for that Windows account is from my OLD JOB (I had bought the laptop for work), and that e-mail address NO LONGER EXISTS. I CANNOT get into that e-mail to verify the account. As I said, the e-mail does not exist.I have tried to recover the account with another e-mail and another laptop (that, nicely, does not lock me out of itself. Amazing!!). This did not work.
