Pin needs updating but email no longer available

[Windows 10]

I purchased a PC a couple years ago and I/we didn’t reset it. I’m almost positive my email info is on there but I left the seller’s on there (stupid on my part) also. I did an update and it says the pin is no longer available and sends me to his email to get the code, which I don’t have access to as he is no longer active on social media. Is there any type of workaround or do I basically the proud owner of a brick?
