Photos changing colour after editing in Microsoft's Photo application

Hello,I'm experiencing a problem with the standard photo application on my computer. Today, I tried editing some pictures I took since I'm working on a photo book. However, I noticed that the edited pictures looked different from the original pictures. The colours in the edited pictures were less vibrant. At first, I thought maybe maybe it just looked different on the screen. But after I downloaded both the original and edited pictures on my phone, I realised that the edited pictures looked just as bad on my phone as on my computer.
