Photo Folder(windows 10) when I open Photos,all I see is the photo Number

PLEASE HELPon the Photo Folder it has a + on itWhen I open the Folder & then open a sub folder,all I see is a photo numberwhen trying to find a photo,or a group of photos it takes for ever to open each & every photoI also have a laptop (windows 10) & if I copy a sub folder from the desktop Computer to the Photo Folder in the Laptop Computer,every thing is perfect,But the Laptop does not have sufficient Memory to have all the photos from the Desktop ComputerPLEASE ASSISTThanksDarryl
