Hi,

I have a XP Pro computer that is connected to a domain with a server

(SB2003). I log onto the computer connected to the domain and want to add a

PDF printer to the computer. If I log onto the computer (when not connected

to the domain) I can install PrimoPDF which is an excellent free PDF maker.

this then goes into my Printers folder and works great. My problem arises

when I log on to the computer (when connected to the domain) and then I

can't load the PDF maker.

Is there a way around this or is there a good free PDF maker that can be

installed on the server to be used by all the computers?

It sounds like you did not install PrimoPDF for all users.

Do you logon with two accounts -

One local and one Domain account ?

Have you tried PDFCreator on SorceForge ?

If you have Admin rights install it for ALL users.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

I use "PDFCreator-0_9_3-AD_DeploymentPackage-WithoutToolbar.msi" which can be

deployed via Group Policy. Works fine.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. Do you mean install it on the server or install it

on the client computer? There are two logins and it installs fine on the

local login but usually we log in on the domain one only. This is where I am

having trouble installing the program.

I asked if there are two accounts.

One would be a local account and the other a Domain account. From you text I can't make

out the distiction.

Using an account with Administrative rights, install the software and make sure it can be

used by ALL accounts.
