PC with Windows 10 Activation Issue

I have a desktop PC that I have had for years. I have Windows 10 installed, all of a sudden I cannot get past the enter pin / password page. Every time I enter the PIN it says credentials could not be verified, I tried resetting password multiple times and it throws an error (I am connected via LAN so I know that I have internet connection thus it should be able to verify my credentials). I brought my PC to a computer repair shop since I assumed my hard drive must be corrupted, they took a look and said since it boots without issue and remembers my specific user that it must be a Windows 10 so
