pc stuck on loading when turning it on

i’m not techy at all so excuse my lack of knowledge or if i use the wrong terms.my pc won’t load into windows for some reason. this only started happening today where i would just black screen after the initial loading screen (before it prompts you to the screen to enter your password). so right now i just turn on my pc -> loading screen -> doesn’t direct me to password page just black screen. my monitor’s light is on, keyboard lights up though doesn’t seem like i can do anything, i can move my mouse around but it’s just permanently a blue loading circle and the screen is just black. i c
