Pc Shuts off after five minutes of use

I have been having this problem with my pc where after I turn it on, I can only use it for around five minutes, then for some reason, I can hear the fans slow down, and when they have nearly stopped, the whole pc display shuts off. This has happened to me twice in a single day, I haven’t used it in 2 months in fear that I would damage it more, but I want to start using it again, what can I do?
