PC runs extremely slow after booting up a game on Steam, How do I fix?

In the last 2 months I've been plagued by issues with my PC. 2 month ago it would crash constantly with no reason, 1 month ago (after the initial crashing stopped) it would crash after 5-10 mins of playing a game on steam. Now after updating my BIOS, checking for malware/viruses, updating to windows 11, checking RAM stability, checking CPU and applying new thermal paste... it now runs insanely slow after booting up a game on steam. I reinstalled steam checked thru its files and the games I was playing, but have found nothing. My last ditch effort was resetting the PC but to no avail, I am at
