PC freezes while gaming, requires hard restart.

Some help would be massively appreciated. A couple weeks ago, my pc would just freeze while gaming. Alt+F4 does nothing, task manager can open but will only show a blank tab that I cannot do anything in. All sound stops, except for Discord voice chat, which still works as normal. I cannot move the application(s) to a new desktop using Windows + Tab, though it will still show all the applications as normal. If I open the Windows tab, I can chooses to shut down, sleep, etc., but it will just load the spinning circle saying, "Shutting Down," but will do it indefinitely. Spotify can be resumed but
