PC became slow all of a sudden

hello, im using windows 10 and suddenly it became very slow to use, however when i switch to the administrator account its like night and day, the admin account is so much faster despite running the same programs in the background (i checked task manager and the difference is negligible) yet it is still 10x faster, what can be the cause of this?
