Overclocking My Monitor to Be Compatible With a Game

When I click on resolution on Call of Duty Cold War, it doesn't save 75Hz. I looked online and saw people had the same issue. The recommendations I saw talked about overclocking your monitor and create a custom resolution. I have an AOpen 22CV1Q that I use at 75Hz. I wanted to ask if it is possible to increase the custom resolution and is it safe to go up 1Hz (to 76Hz)? I don't know much about computers so I don't know if there even is a risk to overclocking for such a low increase, help will be appreciated.
