Hi,
I have been using the Microsoft Outlook mobile app for several years. I have my devices (phone and tablet) set to show me calendar meeting reminders and what I have always done is to swipe right to get them off the screen. The preference being that when I log in to my desktop app the reminder will remind me. My experience over the last few months however is when I swipe the reminders away as I've always done it is now dismissing the calendar reminders and when I log on to the desktop app I don't get reminded and I have been missing some pretty important reminders, like making my mortgage payment for instance. Since my behavior hasn't changed it would appear the Outlook mobile app's behavior has changed. If I just leave the reminder display the on the phone it wakes up every few minutes to display the reminder. That said what can I do to still have my reminders come up on my mobile devices but just make the notification go away if I don't want to see that particular reminder without having the reminder dismissed?
I have checked the swipe options in the app and changed it so the swiping does nothing but the issue persists.
A few days later I reinstalled it on my tablet and turned off email and calendar notifications. However, the calendar reminders continue to come up and I was still getting instances of meeting reminders dismissed.
Ideally I do want to see them but not be continually hounded by them and have the ability to swipe them away with out them being dismissed. The above steps were just for testing purposes.
I have since switched to using a third party mobile app for just email. This doesn't handle shared mailboxes though.
Thanks!
