Outlook Inbox View changes

my company recently did a software upgrade and my Inbox view keeps changing. even my IT guy can't figure it out. i've tried the fixes suggested that i've seen and nothing works 'permanently'.

I've tried the Change View/Compact View option. I've also tried Reset View. It will perform the reset of View but then after jumping from either Sent items or Calendar, back to Inbox, the Inbox bounces back to a view that won't allow me to see Date Sent or Flag Status.

I've also tried Manage Views options where I've selected columns I do and don't want to see. Again, it resets based on the options chosen, but it's again only temporary.
