Outlook difficulty

Some unread emails are not going into my Inbox folder, but straight to deleted.
Unread and read emails are being moved from Deleted, Inbox and Sent folders to Archive folder.
AutoArchive: I change autoarchive to not autoarchive, and it will not save my changes.
When autoarchving, it moved all archived emails/folders to a separate archive folder and did not leave in original folder location.
Contacts: I had a contact (and vendor) send me a QB invoice. When I opened the invoice, as I also use QB for our business, my QB account switched to the vendor's account settings. So when I sent a QB invoice to my client, unbeknownst to me, our business profile and settings on the invoice had switched to the vendor who sent me an invoice personally.
A contact (Say "Bill") provided me a cell number for a new contact (say "Angela"). I entered Angela's cell as a new contact. When Bill called me later that day, his name/number showed up as "Angela" and her number on my caller ID.
It seems there is some sort of corruption in my entire Outlook. Inboxes, Deleted, Contacts, etc.
How do I return all OUTLOOK to the default settings without losing all of my saved emails/folders and contacts?
