We have premise based exchange 2016. We have some users that are using O365 office licenses. These licenses do not include Exchange mailboxes and there is no access to create mailboxes. Intermittently when users try to view calendars of users that are licensed in O365 we are prompted for a password. At one point I was able to consistently get it to prompt and tired a user that was in the tenant unlicensed and connected without issue. It seems as though it is recognizing the cloud account which is the same as the email address. I have tried added the registry key ExcludeExplicitO365Endpoint value 1 for both:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover
Any other ideas?
