We have Exchange 2016 on prem, but have an Office 365 presence as well- hypbrid mode. No mailboxes in cloud- cloud stays pretty much permanently broken because of the "continuous deployment" philosophy, so we really want nothing to do with it, but there are a few services that we haven't finished replacing yet. Horrible waste of cash, time, and vulnerability to error and outage and security flaws constantly created by the "continuous deployment".
Anyway, Outlook 365 appears to search the cloud first, then look at it's ost, the reverse (apparently) of all outlook previously. This creates very slow performance, white-screen lockups (continuously), especially using shared mailboxes. Is there a way to have it connect to the ost first (so a user can actually hope to get some work done) while it manages it's background processes?
Is there any help for the background processes? O365 locks all the time and the users are gathering up pitchforks and torches...
