The Exchange mailbox is only using 1 GB and the limit is set at 4 GB, which Outlook does show under Tools.
The OST file size is 2 GB and Outlook says that it can't sync any more because of the size limit.
I tried setting the maxlargefilesize and warnlargefilesize registry keys in two places but this has no effect.
Deleting the OST file results in Outlook re-syncing the offline cache at just under 2 GB and mail flow is restored, but when more email is processed the file hits the limit and email is stopped.
Need help to solve this bug in Outlook 2019.
*** More info to add - this is a strange one ***
When viewing the OST file on the computer, it reads 2,114,xxx KB or 2 GB.
I just connected over the network to view the file properties and the size is 2.5 GB (2,573.640 KB).
Evidently Outlook is syncing info over 2 GB into the file after all but on the computer Windows sees it as 2 GB.
So somehow Windows 10 sees this file a different size, or won't allow it to go over 2 GB so Outlook has this error, or something. I haven't seen this behavior before so am trying to figure it out.
If someone has some input would really appreciate it.
