Hello all,
I've been trying to investigate an issue one of my users is experiencing with printing emails from one specific email address out of her Outlook 2016. This is part of an Office 365 Business installation.
Initially the problem started when she'd try to print emails that come from our "internal" email address that is used from our internal billing system. When trying to print these emails she would get an error message stating "There was a problem with the selected printer. You might need to reinstall this printer. Try again or use a different printer." After doing some troubleshooting which included restarting the printer spool service the issue seemed to clear up, but would rear its ugly head after a reboot of the machine.
We have Office 365 Business support through Microsoft, and after working with them on troubleshooting they determined the issue was system level.
My other troubleshooting included running quick and full online repairs of Office 365, uninstalling and reinstalling the printers, and trying other printers. We get the same error message no matter what printer is used. These are networked printers, but I've also tried installing the printers directly to the machine and through our print server and neither step resolved the issue. I also installed her Outlook profile on other computers and they didn't encounter the problem she's seeing, so the issue definitely seems to be with her machine but this one has been tricky to track down.
We wanted to reach out to the community before pursuing paid options. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!
