System Info:

Windows 10 - Version 1709.

Office 2016 (Office 365 ProPlus), Version 1711, Build 8730.2127 Click-to-Run Monthly Channel.

Normal/Expected Behavior:

When I get an email with an attachment, I can click on the attachment once and the email attachment will open inside the email. No external application is opened outside of Outlook. This works for TXT, PDF, other Office applications. This used to work with HTML files as well.

Current Behavior:

Clicking and HTML file once to preview it shows "This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it."

Details:

This started with the October 2017 Monthly Channel release (1710).

Steps to Resolve:

Followed steps here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...iewed-because-there-is-no-previewer-installed without any luck. No HTML previewer key exists in regedit. Also, no HTML preview exists anymore in Outlook > File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Attachment Handling > Attachment and Document Previewers. An HTML option existed on older version of Office.
