Outlook 2016 - Email Composing - Cursor problem

I have a strange problem that I didn't find anywhere else in this forum. The title pretty much describes what's happening. It doesn't make a difference if I use the embedded window or the pop out window. As the sentence gets longer or the message gets longer, the cursor does not show up in the same position as to where it actually exists. This makes editing extremely difficult and very time consuming.

I am running Windows 10 on a Dell desktop computer. The previous version of Outlook did not do this on the same OS and computer. Seems to be an Outlook 2016 problem.
