My environment first: Outlook 2016, Windows 10, connected to 3 different Office 365 services, setup to be used with S/MIME certificates for signed/encrypted emails.
Status: signing and encrypting emails works fine.
The problem comes with outlook contacts. When I make a change in an outlook contact (like adding a phone number), I get a failure:
cannot sign or encrypt this message ...
This is strange, because I do not write a message but change a contact. When selecting Change Security Settings, I see this:
If I remove the "add digital signature to this message", I get the following error
Anybody an idea how to change configure this correctly so that the either the correct S/MIME certificate is used or that no certificate is added to the contact.
