Interested if anyone else is experiancing similar issues with Outlook 2013/2016 in an Exchange 2013 Environment where users are often being prompted for credentials as if the account may be locked out or profile corrupt.
Recently have found Outlook 2013 and 2016 when opened attempts to connect to Exchange Server and displays a credential prompt, but the users Email and Password is prefilled.
The most interesting thing is the profile is configured using Auto Discovery Single Sign on, and Credential manager is cleared of all Web & Windows credentials.
Performing a repair on the mail account via Control Panal > Mail > Email Accounts > Repair/Change has no effect
The only fix I have found so far is to delete the profile and recreate a new profile allowing Auto Discovery to again configure the mailbox, then its business as usual.
Be Interested to know if there is some funky authentication method that is caching these locally outside of credential manager.
