Outlook 2010 re-downloads deleted emails on one account but not on another

I have 2 gmail accounts set up using IMAP on Outlook 2010. I regularly sort my emails into different folders or delete them to tidy up the inboxes. This works fine on the first account but not on the second one. Both are set up identically on Outlook and in Gmail (POP is disabled, IMAP is emabled, when I mark a message iin IMAP as deleted auto-expunge is on). With the second account, whenever I move a message to another folder or delete it it downloads again, even if it is 10 years old. Can anyone help with this?
