Our software is blocked by "Controlled folder access", what can we do to avoid?‎

We are a company that sells Software. One of our products is based on Java and is distributed with the JRE from adoptium.net. The software reads and writes files in the Documents folder.Recently javaw.exe, which is part of this JRE, gets blocked by "Controlled folder access", a feature of "Windows Security". Our customers are forced to create an exception for our software, which is not satisfactory.We tried to fix the issue by signing javaw.exe with our EV code signing certificate, but that did not help.
