onedrive shared folders always open in webbrowser instead of windows explorer

This problem was reported in June 2024 and has now resurfaced in February 2025.The "shared with me" folder only appears as a .url shortcut and clicking on it opens the web browser version of One Drive instead of the file Explorer.
