Onedrive keeps backup my desktop

I possess several PCs and a Mac, each with different configurations, but all are logged in with the same Office365 account. I certainly do not wish to sync the Desktop and Documents folders to OneDrive. Therefore, on each PC, I have configured it not to sync Desktop content. This arrangement worked well initially.However, today OneDrive began updating the Desktop of one of my PCs, uploading all Desktop content to OneDrive.When I returned to OneDrive to deselect the Desktop backup, an interface appeared stating that certain folders (including Desktop and Documents) could not be unchecked.After
