OneDrive crashed, relinked pc, all files now duplicated on OneDrive online - how to revert?

I had a severe crash on my pc today and couldn't access anything in my OneDrive folders.I ended up going into OneDrive settings - Account and clicking Unlink this PC. I then had to make several attempts to relink my account with the OneDrive app constantly hanging, eventually after rebooting my pc a couple of times it worked and I found myself signed in to OneDrive again.The problem is, I still couldn't access the files in the OneDrive folders in Windows, clicking on them to open does precisely nothing.
