One drive has taken over

One drive has without any need or explanation hijacked all my file handling. Slows things way down and is totally unnecessary. I hate it. Never asked for it. don't need it. Don't want it. Apparently, I can't do anything about it. Can I sue? The amount of grief and time finding work arounds is substantial.
