Office 365 Outlook 2016 Client hangs and crashes on startup and when opening calendar events to edit

I have Office 365 Office 2016 installed on XPS13 brand new.

When I open existing calendar evetns and often when I start using Outlook after initially opening the application it crashes and restarts after hanging for a minute of so.
