I have been offered the opportunity to download the Office 2010 Bets,

but I am confused about one aspect. It appears that, if I choose to

download it, it will upgrade my Office 2007 and I don't want to do

that. I am taking a college course in Access 2007 and need to

maintain that program. Is there anyway I can download the Office 2010

side by side with my 2007?

Many thanks,

Gordon in TX.

You can only use one version of Outlook, and you would need to make sure

the 2010 is installed parallel not as replace. You may find that other

issues arise in attempting to flip back and forth between versions. So

be prepared for some inconveniences

Probably, other than Outlook, as has been explained. But this is BETA

sofware ... it's not totally tested, it might make hash of your existing

2007 install, it might not uninstall cleanly, etc. When you install it,

you risk the stability of your computer and other programs. That's what

MS is dancing around the edges of saying when they advise you NOT to

install the beta on a production computer.

In short: if you need what you already have and don't absolutely need

the beta, you might want to skip it.
