It's usually possible to obtain a replacement CD from MS via the

fulfillment path. I've done so several times via phone, and a small

charge for the replacement CD.

Before I went this route, I always checked the CD/DVD using another

driver or P/C. Another possibility or method is to copy the CD contents

to a HD, and try an install or "repair" from there.

Now we just need a question to go along with your answer.

Is there a context for this post?

Talking to yourself? Simply making a statement? HoopleHead Alert?

No, it's simply you do not know how to post in a newsgroup. You don't change

the subject, and you leave at least some snippet of what the question was.

Were you born a HoopleHead, or did your just work your way down?

Keep in mind that many people don't see in their news readers what you

see in yours.

If you intend to reply to a post, you should reply to that specific post

rather than start a brand new, out-of-context thread. Otherwise, many

people will have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

You certainly seem to enjoy name calling, a majority of your posts are not to

help, but to name call, grow up.

Maybe it's time for you to learn how to use your news client's killfile

or filter mechanism.

Well, my top-posting friend, either use it, or stop complaining about

other posters.

And, good luck.

Well my bottom posting friend, I see nothing wrong in chastising obnoxious

posters who do

nothing but insult posters. If you are offended by this, don't read it. You

may killfile me.

I don't see how calling someone a Hooplehead to be degrading because

some fans of various bands call themselves (something)heads. For

example Jimmy Buffett fans are Parrotheads, and Grateful Dead fans are

Deadheads. So wouldn't a Hooplehead be a Mott the Hoople fan?
