Similar to the problems described regarding the July SSU (KB4504418) and the September SSU (KB4512938), there are some 'bugs' regarding installation of the October SSU (KB4521864):

- Wrong notification sequence. The information provided about the October SSU states: "We strongly recommend you install the latest servicing stack update (SSU) for your operating system before installing the latest cumulative update (LCU)." However, the Windows Update client did not advise that this update was even available until after installation of three other regular updates that had been recommended for installation (KB890830, KB4524104, and KB4520005).
- Installation error. Even as a user with an Administrator account, I am unable to install this October SSU from the Windows Update client. The error is identical to that found with the July SSU and the September SSU:
