Obsolete Surface Pro with a i5-7300U CPU purchased less than 4 Years Ago

I purchased a Surface Pro with a i5-7300U CPU for purely personal use in the UK in April 2018, less than 4 years ago. PC Health Check advises me that this unit cannot be upgraded to Windows 11, a situation wholly dictated by Microsoft themselves. My question is: Given that this is a unit manufactured by or on behalf of Microsoft, will it be included at any future date in the list of computers upgradeable to Windows 11? If not, I regard this as one of the worst examples of Customer Service imagineable. Apart from anything else, any potential resale value of the unit has disappeared overnig
