I'm running Office 365 on Win10 and the problems relate to Gmail accounts as displayed in Mail on an iPhone (iOS 13.3.1). A couple days ago odd things began to happen:
1. Attachments stopped appearing in iPhone Mail when sent from Gmail via the Outlook desktop (Win10), depending on the HTML/Rich Text/Plain Text settings. For years, I've been using this Gmail account in iPhone Mail with no problems. Now the intended attachment is replaced with the winmail.dat file unless the email is sent as Plain Text. I have looked into this but changing the two Format options in Outlook didn't resolve. If there is no obvious solution, I can create a table that summarizes the results of tests I did (the From account, the To account, and format settings).
2. Outlook is sending multiple copies of the same email message, and/or there are multiple copies of the email in the Sent folder - some recipients receive copies, others don't.
3. In an attempt to solve things, I exported the Gmail account from the desktop to a PST file. However, when I tried re-importing it, the folder structure is maintained but the folders are empty. As far as I know, the account should re-populate when it starts downloading the account from the Gmail servers so AFAIK this isn't a data disaster, I just thought it would be faster to re-import than to re-download.
The only recent change I can think of is that I was testing a couple of different routers recently. I have already factory-reset the router and the other ones are out of the picture.
Any ideas on why this is all happening, and how to resolve?
Thanks in advance.
