Hello
We have started getting users that are stuck in a password loop in Outlook 2016, it only happens when using the search functionality if you cancel off a "require password" message appears in the bottom bar of outlook.
I have used the regkey fix HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ Identity\ EnableADAL=0 (wont fix with =1) to prompt using the basic authentication as a work around. All users currently effected are o365 users with in-place archives, nothing different from the rest of the user base that is currently working.
The issues seems to be persistent per user, I initially tried rebuilding mail profile, I asked them to login to another machine and the issue followed. Things like appdata do not follow the user so I ruled out any bad config following them.
Basic things like licenses and such are all fine. They don't share common mailboxes
Modernauth is configured for all clients so I am not sure what I am missing,
Suggestions would be helpful
Kind Regards
