NVMe SSD from a windows computer; placed it in a enclosure can't access

I removed my m.2 NVMe SSD from a windows computer; placed it in a enclosure; plugged it into the USB port of a different windows computer. I entered the 48-digit key and it opened right up. I used it when I plug it in. The laptop dings as if it reads the USB, but nothing shows up like before. Both the SSD (NVMe SAMSUNG) and the Best Buy enclosure I have it in show up in the Device Manager, but I can’t get to the data. Help
