not installling download

I have a vista 32 bit on toshiba. I have tried to install Adobe flash player but it will download but not install. Is there any reason why this is happening? Also how do i find out what drivers are missing from my laptop? I recently installed vista again and certain drivers are missing but i don't know which ones. Thanks
