After one of the grandkids worked their magic on this toshiba laptop, a
system boot produces the following error: "system32\drivers\ntfs.sys file is
corrupt or missing". Attempted a system recovery "R", does not show which
version to recover so just did a simple Dir command at the C: prompt "error
occured during directory enumeration". So next step was to attempt a CHKDSK
and see what that produces. At about one hour later, it is @ 20%. Assuming
that the check disk does not "fix" anything and typing commands into rename
the ntfs.sys file to .old and copy a fresh one in there for repair does not
work, what would be my next move. ??
