Norton Password mgr. Not working in edge windows 10 Trys to open page only

Dear friends with more brains and patience than I. I'm running windows 10 with Microsoft edge and Google chrome both installed on the same machine. My password Manager is NORTON. Since I built this pc (4 yrs. ago) I've been using this setup with ZERO issues. The other day I clicked on the Password Mgr extensions icon in the upper right of page in edge and typed in vault password as normal. When you hit enter a web page will open and the vault will load on this new page. This is the same for Chrome and edge. However, this time it did not work in edge. All I see is a new tab/page with white
