No way to log in to my account after Windows 11 PC suddenly asked for a password

Hi all,I have used the PIN login for my laptop for years before it upgraded itself to Windows 11 from Windows 10. After the upgrade, I was still able to use it for several weeks without any problem. Suddenly, yesterday it started asking for a password for logging in to the PC instead of the PIN I'm used to. I failed multiple times and also tried the auto-saved password for the login.live.com saved under my Google/Chrome account. All failed.
