No CD/DVD Rom in device manager

I have windows 11 on an MSI Creator 15 and I am trying to use an external dvd/cd driver. My computer doesn't recognize it, so when trying to diagnose the issue I found that there is no CD/DVD Driver in my device manager. This makes most solutions I found online not very helpful when trying to troubleshoot why my computer doesn't recognize my device.
