News and Interest Icon!

Hi again, how do you turn the "News and Interest" icon OFF in taskbar permanently? I have tried both ways, clicked on icon and turned off, also gone into settings, personalization, Taskbar and turned off "News and Interest" and still it comes back!! It is so annoying, surely when you turn something OFF it should stay OFF ! I am not knocking the feature but do we have a choice?Windows 10 22H2Brian
