How can I set a new window to always open full screen? Example, when I
open a page it is where I've set it; full screen. If I click a link within
that page, the new window opens at the default small size.

Hi Peter,

Are you referring to Internet Explorer or some other web browser? If
so, pop-ups tend to mess up the window size since they are usually
opened in a small window. Vista will remember that (sometimes) and open
like that again.

Excessive crossposting eliminated.

Well thanks but that link is archaic and doesn't have an answer. I also
posted to 3 groups as I wasn't sure if it was a Vista problem or an IE7
problem.

Vista - IE7 and no these are actual web pages not pop-ups. I see PA Bear is
in a bad mood ;-)

Windows remembers the size of the last Normal IE window closed.
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.

If that doesn't do it try the REG file here:

IE New Window Maximiser seems to have done the trick. Thanks Frank.

Peter,

If you would like to use the maximize button again instead of just
dragging it it to full screen, then go to this link below and it will
show you how to reset Vista's view settings and increase it's view cache
size. It allows Vista to remember again.

Hope this helps,

Brink,

Thanks but I already fixed it using a tool that Frank Saunders mentioned.

The instructions apply to IE7 in Vista and will address the issue, Peter.

Sorry, I didn't find it the first time you posted the link. My eyesight
isn't that good but now I see it, thanks.

Still, it's good to hear that IE New Windows Maximzer works in Vista.
Thanks for that.
