New Remote Desktop Connection update is causing issues viewing excel over the remote desktop

So due to having to run some legacy programs, we have remote users connect to a remote desktop via the Remote Desktop Connections. One department uses excel sheets that are exported from that program in order to view data. However, ever since an update (not sure which one) sometimes mid December 2024, the excel is just a glitch mess. If i can fullscreen I can somewhat interact with it, but it is still lines and gibberish on the side like it's not meeting with the resolution or something.
