new PC had bit locker installed activated and locked me out. and had no key whatsoever won't new PC do the same lock me out

Just returned a brand new AIO PC to store because bit locker had been installed and activated and I didn't get any key to disarm it at all. PC was bricked. What can I do to prevent that happening again? I was going to disable bit locker immediately, would I have to have the security key to do that? My PC will have win 11. One returned was win 11.
