New mouse, new problems

So I recently bought this wireless LED mouse from Amazon and it's been having this weird problem right out of the box. For some reason whenever I click on a link of any kind the mouse would have my PC download it as a HTML file, an example of this would be like when am watching YouTube or something and I try to click on the YouTube logo In order to redirect myself back to my YouTube home page. Instead of taking me to the home page however my mouse would just download the link under the name "download.htm" which is clearly not what I wanted.
