New laptop today with Windows 11 - D drive has been bitlocked and I never, ever turned it on or EVER requested to save any key!!!!!

How can this happen. This drive has important information on it but it was bitlocked without me EVER being asked. Windows did have a hiccup on setup but I got over that using proper security procedures. Why would Bitlocker jump in and supposedly "save the day" but actually lock me out of MY drive? All without me knowing???I see that Microsoft help is in denial that this happens all the way back to 2015 and still doing a Pontius Pilate on this issue.Bitlocker should be OFF BY DEFAULT but it was ON BY DEFAULT.
